Allison Dakos

Board Director

After volunteering as a victim advocate, Allison Dakos joined the staff of the Sexual Assault Center, a branch of Child & Family Services, in 2023. She currently serves the agency as the Crisis Services Coordinator. In her role, Allison provides crisis response advocacy to survivors of sexual violence, trains and manages volunteer advocates, leads the Saginaw County SART (Sexual Assault Response Team,) and educates the public on sexual violence and local resources.

Allison takes pride in her deep sense of empathy, her innate ability to find common ground between people, and her comfort level while speaking or presenting publicly. Allison believes that every action has potential for far-reaching impact, often unbeknownst to those in the original situation.

In her personal time, Allison enjoys performing as a classically trained soprano, often joining local community ensembles, or jamming with friends. She is a creative person with many interests including quilting, painting, and paper crafts. Allison also enjoys gardening and looks forward to getting her hands dirty each spring.
